FIM North American Supermoto Championship (FIMNASMC) announced today Mike Kidd has been named as Vice President, General Manager. Mike comes with a wealth of experience within the motorcycle industry as a former AMA Grand National Champion, AMA Hall of Fame Inductee, creator AMA National Arenacross Series, along with event and series race production, television broadcast, sponsorship, extensive marketing, advertising, and public relations experience.
“We are honored to have Mike join our group and feel his industry and promotional experience will be key to the continued development of FIMNASMC,” said Marco Pedde, Co-Founder. “It is clear Mike understands racing is an entertainment business and is the missing link we have been looking for.”
“I became hooked on this sport back when I raced Gavin Tripp’;s ABC Superbikers in Carlsbad back around 1980. Supermoto racing is unique in that riders from motocross, flat track and road race can be competitive.” said Mike Kidd. “After going to one of the races in Delaware this past summer I noticed the racing appealed to a wide audience and is certainly a made for TV product, so I knew Supermoto was something I would enjoy.”
